Summary: Rene is trying to escape from the senior vampire holding him prisoner in New Orleans, a city of mystery and beauty. Werewolf Luc thinks he’ll save Rene, but before he can, vampire Henri swoops in and takes Rene away. Can the two of them agree to share, or will Rene just be the spoils of a very New Orleans style war?
Review: This was a so-so short about Rene, a young vampire that everyone seems to want. He is being held by an older vampire who won’t let him go and they are keeping company of a werewolf from the bayou named Luc who wants Rene for his own. Out of their territory, the three are walking the streets of New Orleans drinking the intoxicated blood of the party revelers and leaving a wake of, alive but bitten, humans. The city’s Master vampire, Henri, spots the men trespassing in his city and is ready to take action against the interlopers until he gets a good look at Rene. He is immediately taken with the gorgeous but inebriated young vampire and steals him away from his two companions.
Henri and Rene have an immediate and very hot connection and after one night and day together there is no way that either will let go of the other.
Luc adores Rene and just wants to keep him safe. He isn’t going to let another vampire come in and steal Rene away from him again. He tracks down Rene and Henri and plans on doing anything necessary to save Rene. After seeing how happy Rene is with Henri, the three men come to an agreement that is satisfying for all of them.
This is a hot little story with no real substance. It’s too short for any character depth or story development. I enjoyed it but it is easily forgettable.
