Returning a lost wallet was Bryson’s only goal, but when he sees its handsome owner, he can’t help but wish for more. For the last couple of years, Bry hasn’t felt like dating. One look into Jonas’ eyes changes that.

The only problem is, he doesn’t know if Jonas free or already claimed.

Bryson Dodd finds a wallet on the ground outside a deli one day, when opening it to find out who the owner is, there is a scent to the wallet besides leather that interests him.  The handsome dark haired man pictured on the license further intrigues him and he drives to the address to return the wallet and hopefully seeing the owner, even though he knows he could be straight, married with kids!

Jonas Escalante is the owner of the wallet and feels an attraction to Bry as soon as gets out of his truck, although he’s on the phone at first.  There is no wife and kids, but to find a way to get to know Bry, he notices his company name on the truck and asks for Bry’s help with landscape design, if Bry manages the project.

The job takes six weeks, where they keep their relationship completely professional, with just a bit of flirting, but as the job comes to an end, will they keep things going?

The book is told from the alternating points of both Bry and Jonas.

For a short story, the author managed to get a lot of story in there without rushing the storyline or leaving gaps in the plot!  It was a very satisfying and enjoyable read, and for those who like hot scenes, oh yeah, there is one!  You get the impression the landscaping project was like extended foreplay so the celebration of the job being complete definitely reads like finishing with a bang!

Had the author wanted to make it a longer book, the framework is definitely there – Bry’s past relationship, their flirtation of the six week landscaping job, where their relationship could go, but as it is, I didn’t feel there was anything missing from the story.

I’d recommend this book for romance readers who like some hot scenes as well as short stories.  For me, this was my first read by this author and I will also be watching for more!
