Summary The name’s Lio, and I’m a cupid working for the Gay Division of the Inter-Dimensional Association of Cupids. An Aztec god, whose modern name, Ethan, doesn’t make him any less scary, just busted me shooting a closeted human with a gay lust arrow. I might find him sexy with all those tattoos and piercings, if I didn’t have a rule against getting it on with other supernaturals—especially ones working for the Straight Division. Now, to save my butt I’ll have to strike a bargain with this tough god. But what I didn’t see coming was my little wager not only risks my career, but places my broken heart completely in Ethan’s hands.

Review Ok, I saw the blurb and thought, that sounds awesome, then I opened the book and on the first page the author wrote this :“If you are a stickler for rules and obsessed with predictable and dull accuracies, proceed with caution. However, if you enjoy stories full of inappropriate humor, penis piercings, and some hot man-on-man lovin’, please enjoy!”

Well THAT works for me.

I knew right away it was my kinda book, Lio the narrator is funny, totally irreverent and a smartass Cupid, and he makes sure to point out he’s not a small, fat baby in a diaper.

Lio doesn’t always follow the rules and he’s already been demoted once. Now he’s been caught by none other than “Éhecatl, the Aztec god of the winds, known as Ethan, intervening in a love arrow shooting. I guess having a gaydar is illegal..who knew?

To try and save himself he makes a deal with the hot, leather-clad and pierced Aztec god.

“Why a wind god would want to slum it with us cupids when he’d have more bragging rights within an uppity weather god association was beyond me.”

Here things get very interesting, it seems like Lio has a good reason to be disappointed in love and not want to trust another immortal.  I didn’t find out nearly enough about either gods past or how the very reticent Ethan knew so much about Lio to satisfy my curiosity.

There is quite a bit of hot and heavy sexing and an interesting exchange of euforia. I loved the world it was set in, I loved knowing that Lio has a much deeper side, and  I wanted to know more about the very deep hurt he’s hiding. I really really want to know more about Ethan and his interest in Lio.

It ends on a very hopeful note, but I was so into this short that it wasn’t nearly enough for me. I need another story about these two.
