Summary: It’s Halloween, and incubus Rafael is looking forward to a fun night out with his lover, demon-hunter Dominic. But Halloween can be a busy time of year for demon-hunters, and Rafael is not surprised when Dominic has to go to work instead.

Dominic and Rafael have been together for a long time, and Dominic thinks he knows just about everything there is to know about his sweet little twink of an incubus. But Dominic’s mission this evening does not go at all according to plan, and tonight he’s about to find out that sometimes, though you may think you know someone, you really don’t know them at all.

Review: When I started reading this short story I had no idea that there was a previous story and I can say that even though I didn’t read the first story, it didn’t detract a bit from my enjoyment of this little gem.

Raphael and Dominic have been together for twenty years and are adorable together. Their sex life is nasty, dirty and hot as hell. On halloween,  Dominic gets a call from an informant about a human sacrifice that is to take place that night. He and a team of two other demon slayers walk into a trap meant specifically for Dominic. It seems that someone from Raphael’s past wants to kill Raphael but he wants him to suffer first and there is no better way to do that than to take away the one person he loves most in the world. Dominic. It isn’t until Raphael saves Dominic and his team that he finds out that his incubus has been hiding something very important about himself. Will Dominic understand and forgive Raphael or will it drive them apart.

I enjoyed this story very much, the writing was good, the story was tight and well rounded considering the short length and the sex was hot. I would recommend this book to all who enjoy demons and other paranormal stories.
