Once again, I challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone and I’m glad I was given a chance to read Nether Regions. The author wrote it beautifully. Threso was an experienced warrior and she spied a gorgeous woman name Kreousa, who happened to be an inexperienced warrior, as well as Threso’s student. They were part of a tribe of women warriors, which were Amazons. Before the story started, the Amazons had beaten Spartans to their deaths and now gods have challenged them. The Spartans were back; not as human beings but as undead flesh-eater monsters. The queen was required to pick her top twelve warriors to pit against the undead Spartans.  Surprisingly, Threso and Kreousa were part of the twelve warriors drafted. Overall, I really enjoyed the story. It’s has more plot than sex, which is perfect. Zombie stories are always my favorite and the sexual preferences usually doesn’t  matter when it comes to these. It could have been a five star easily but it was too short and I feel that there were a lot of scenes being cut off prematurely, leaving me with questions. For example, whatever happened to the other seven or eight warriors that were on the same journey as Threso and Kreousa?  The fight scenes felt too fast and it was over just like that. I wished there was more detail on each fighting scene, which would give us time to grasp what was going on. But still, it was entertaining to read and I most certainly will continue to read anything from Jadette Paige. I loved her writing style. I hope she’ll write something similar to this book but in a longer version in future. 😀
