Peter’s been half in love with Luke Holland for as long as he can remember, but his best friend’s very human brother has always been off limits¦but when werewolves come to town this bunny shifter is going to have to decide whether he’s ready to fight for what he’s always wanted.

Luke Holland is tall, dark, and human. He’s also off limits for daisy obsessed bunny shifter, Peter. But when werewolves start hunting Peter in the woods around New Hope he’s going to need Luke’s help to fight the intruders. Of course, when Luke discovers the truth about Peter he’s never going to stop chasing his cottontail.

Peter is an accountant by day, a bunny shifter by night – and has a huge crush on Luke, his best friend’s older brother! He always wants to work up the courage to ask Luke out, but gets tongue tied around him instead. Then he smells wolf in their little town, as in shifter wolf, and the predicament that lands him may be the motivation to go after who he wants!

The story is told from Peter and Luke’s alternating point of view.

So, right off the bat, I’m going to tell you that since this is the first of a series, there are characters and location to establish and a series to set up – so while the story of Peter and Luke’s adventure is played out, there are other storylines left open! I think this is a good thing, though, because even with the main characters, there is more story to tell. The supporting characters that are likely the most important are Benji, Peter’s best friend and Mikhail, another wolf that comes to town where it is hard to determine if he’s a good wolf, a bad wolf, or somewhere in between!

I quite enjoyed this story, the pace kept you interested and balanced how Luke and Peter finally get talking with the werewolves they are dealing with. Based on a brief conversation between Peter and Benji, who now lives in Chicago, Benji comes back to town to see about helping out with the situation. Which adds a whole new dynamic to the group interaction – and Luke not only learns secrets he never knew about Peter, he learns a whole lot more about his brother than he thought he knew!

It’s always good to get a different version of shifter stories, and Peter is a bunny! He also seems quite sweet and definitely has chemistry with both Luke and Benji, but for different reasons. I believe people who enjoy a different take on shifters, where there is a mix of adventure, fun, sweet and sexy will enjoy this story. And I hope Benji and Mikhail make an appearance in book two – Benji has some loose ends to connect and I think Mikhail has a lot of stories to tell for the brief appearance he makes in this story!
