Summary: Colleagues Ford and Vaughan have long admired each other from afar, but Vaughan’s shyness and Ford’s emotional hang-ups have meant that neither has made a move. That all changes when they draw each other’s name in the office Secret Santa.

Review: I liked the idea of this one – Ford and Vaughn work for the same company and each wants to be with the other but both have issues that prevent this from happening. When the Secret Santa names come out, fate has smiled and given each man the other’s name. Of course, both want the gift to be incredible, something each will remember even if they never know who has given it.

It was cute to see them wanting to impress the other even though both felt there would be no recognition from it. Just making that person you crush on happy. Keeping a less than great desk area just to be able to see your crush on a daily basis. I liked that Vaughn knew he was so shy and just wanted Ford. As for Ford, I loved that he knew his previous job was killing him and did something about it – “In the end, he realized what he needed was something with low accountability, where he would be all but invisible.” The fact that Vaughn sees him? Perfect.

Cute, fluffy story with that sweet holiday twist.
