Summary: “You don’t ever have to keep anything you feel locked up, Clay. I’m your Dom, and whatever you need from me, I’ll gladly give to you.”
– Sergeant Logan Pierce

Police Officer Clay Foster is finally at peace and happy with his life. He enjoys his career as a member of Houston’s SWAT team, and he loves submitting to his Dom in the bedroom. His life is perfect, until one cruel act destroys Clay’s bubble of happiness. Shattered trust forces Clay to reevaluate his career, his relationship, and himself.

Sergeant Logan Pierce is the leader of Houston’s elite SWAT team. On the force, he’s the best at what he does. In private, the most important thing in his life is taking care of his submissive, Clay. Clay is his whole world, and Logan will do whatever is necessary to keep him safe. Even if that means going up against Clay’s stubbornness in order to help him heal.

Can Logan and Clay work together to rebuild their happiness? Can they find their way back to the shared passion of Dominance and submission? Or will their love and relationship end before it’s truly begun?

An Officer’s Submission is Book Four in the Cuffs, Collars, and Love series. If you love romance that is epic, emotional and erotic, you’ll want to give this series a read!

Review: Logan and Clay return again in this third volume of the series and they’re hotter than ever. Their D/s relationship has grown stronger and Logan is ready to ask Clay to move in but he’s still cautious of Clay’s need for independence. Then suddenly, the police captain decides to break up their successful SWAT team and bring in new people. Clay tries to adjust to the new guys but one in particular is homophobic and Clay doesn’t hold back on his opinion. The repercussions become more than Clay can handle but as always, he keeps it bottled up. Up until he can’t.
The sensitive subject was depicted really well and touched on men often being taught to suppress their emotions, as well as Clay’s views on the unwritten codes of police brotherhood. His struggle was emotional and filled with tension, waiting to find out what happens to the team and with Logan. The D/s aspect was shown to perfection as Logan sensed that Clay was having trouble, still trying to do what was right as a Dom without stepping over the boundaries Clay had imposed. I really enjoyed the outcome, when Logan decided to take some matters into his own hands and Clay’s response. The rest of their friends on the team, as always, provide support and even Ryan steps up for Clay.

There’s not an over abundance of sex scenes and the D/s play is mostly mild with one very hot, not extreme, flogging scene. The ending is everything I could want for these characters and they finally get a complete HEA. Christa Tomlinson has become a one-click author for me and I’d recommend this trilogy of stories, especially for anyone who wants to dip a toe into BDSM without going overboard. I’m really looking forward to Hector’s story next, with what looks to be an OFY/BiFY storyline.
