Summary: Duncan has a secret fantasy, but is Tyler the right man for the job?

Tyler’s new policeman boyfriend, Duncan, is gorgeous. Tall, broad, and über-masculine, he’s the epitome of the dominant top—in appearance at least.

When they discuss their sexual fantasies, Duncan confesses to a secret desire that surprises Tyler. Luckily for Duncan, Tyler’s happy to oblige and is determined to give Duncan a night to remember.

Review:  Let’s be upfront about this – I went into this short story thinking it was going to be total porn, sex, sex, sex.  And to a point, I was correct.  There is a lot of sex, to be sure.  But there is more to the story than that, and that’s what makes it so good.

Duncan and Tyler met on a dating app and they hit it off.  Duncan is listed as a total top and he looks the stereotypical part.  He’s a big , strong, hairy policeman who appears very confident and sure of himself.  He’s “Kind of …gentle but still dominant at the same time”, in the words of Tyler himself.  Tyler is a hairdresser, slim and lithe so Tyler’s friend Julian scoffs at the idea that Tyler will ever top Duncan, “It would be like a whippet fucking a Great Dane.”  Admittedly, that made me laugh.

When the two get together, they are all about the sex and yes, Duncan is a top.  But then when fantasies get discussed, Duncan’s dream floors Tyler.  “Would you…top me maybe?”  Now, what makes this unique from just a first time bottom story is how the guilt and inner voices try to dictate how Duncan perceives himself as a gay man.  His ability to work through it and try to make Tyler understand, that’s what made me respect him so much.  Tyler is hurt by the conversation for a bit but realizes the sign of trust that it is.

And we do get to read of Duncan’s first time as a bottom but ultimately, it is more about the idea and the journey that make this such a rewarding read.  Recommended.
