Questions straight from the Heart (we are burning to know!)

I am honored to get the opportunity to interview one of my favorite authors. Any of her books are on my auto-buy list and I have yet to read anything from her that I did not love. So sit back and enjoy as we get to know the mind of the incomparable Ms. Mary Calmes.

First I want to say thank you so much for having me, I appreciate it so very much.

  • I have to admit that I loved the story of Nate and Dreo in your book “Acrobat”. … Continue reading

    Summary:

Forty-five-year-old English professor Nathan Qells is very good at making people feel important. What he’s not very good at is sticking around afterward. He’s a nice guy; he just doesn’t feel things the way other people do. Why have I been ignoring Ms Calmes books?  This story was absolutely amazing.  I could have read another 200 pages of Landry and Trevan easily.

Trevan Bean works as a runner for a crime lord in Detroit where he lives with his partner, Landry Carter.  Trevan is a tough guy on the outside but when it comes to Landry he’s a pile of mush.  The guys are scrimping and … Continue reading

There is something annoying about this book for me and I’m not sure what exactly it was.  I can’t decide if it was the fact that once Julian and Ryan hook up,  Ryan says “Julian” or “Jules” ad nauseum.  That could have been it.  Or, it could have been that the blurb is definitely misleading, in that this is a paranormal book, not a contemporary (which is what I thought it was).   … Continue reading
