Tour: Charley Descoteaux – Holiday Weekend

holidayweekend_headerbannerThank you for having me! I’m thrilled to be visiting Hearts on Fire to talk about my holiday story, Holiday Weekend, Buchanan House: Book Five.

When I contacted Hearts on Fire to host me on this tour, I asked what kind of post they would like. It’s only polite, like asking the host of a potluck what sort of dish to bring. The request I got was for an embarrassing holiday story. That turned out to be much harder to … Continue reading

Guest blogger: Caitlin Ricci – One Wish

ricciHello this is Caitlin Ricci, here today talking about my new Christmas story, One Wish, and what I would want an elf to bring me for Christmas if I could have my one wish like Harry gives to Callen.

For me, my wish would be to live a simpler life. I’m not giving up wifi or electricity at all, but to not have neighbors around or deal with rush hour traffic all the time would be pretty fantastic. I’d want a few … Continue reading

Tour – Addison Allbright – To Love and To Cherish

Character behavior.

Typically, not much transitions a book out of my TBR stack into the DNF pile faster than unreasonable character behavior. What do I mean by unreasonable? That’s a tough one, and it’s obviously going to vary from reader to reader (take a look through the variety of reviews for any book out there and you’ll know this is true).

For me, one example of unreasonable character behavior would be supposedly professional adults behaving like middle school children arguing on the playground. Or making wacky decisions without a good buildup to help the reader understand why the character is … Continue reading

Tour: Toni Griffin – Kieran, Atherton Pack #4

Thank you to Hearts on Fire for having me today.  They asked me the question “How do I think shifters would be treated in our society today?”

I would hope they’d be treated just like everyone else. If they’ve been living amongst us all this time, then they’ve been going about their days just like everyone else, working, paying taxes, raising families. Why should any of that change just because they can do something I can’t? I know that’s probably naive of me, but I’d like to be able to have faith in my fellow man. Even if that faith … Continue reading
