HI! We are so happy to be talking with you. We’ve got a few questions…
~Thank you so much for having me. I’m excited for the release of Unbroken Hearts and I’d like to mention that I have several giveaways for this blog tour. Good luck everyone!
We loved Unbroken Hearts.
~I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I love writing Brett and JT. Combining the original novella with the short story, Unwrapped Hearts, plus adding 25,000 extra words was challenging but also rewarding. I’m thrilled to have it out in the webiverse again.
Wondering if there are plans to do this in audio. The first of this series on audio was terrific.
~Nick J Russo was fabulous, wasn’t he? I picked him myself. I hope Unbroken Hearts will make it to audio, but it’s in Dreamspinner’s hands. Hopefully they’ll take notice that the first audiobook was very popular.
I love the song lyrics in the stories. Do hear the music or just create them as if they are poems?
~Poetry is one of my guilty pleasures. I really enjoyed composing Brett Blakk’s songs and I think originally I set out to simply write the lyrics, but the melodies sort of popped into my head too. It was fun.
Who is Brett modeled after?
~My biggest inspiration for Brett was Christian Kane. He’s an actor and singer. Brett’s physical description is based on Christian, as well as the way he speaks and his love for his mama.
Do you have a favorite country music singer?
~I’m not a big country fan, but there are a few songs and singers I like—Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban. Christian Kane is by far my favorite though. I listen to nothing else whenever I’m writing Brett & JT.
What’s your favorite character you’ve written?
~This is going to sound rigged, but Brett Taylor is the character I feel closest to. Writing the first book, Unbreak My Heart, was an emotional experience for me and Brett. He’ll always have my heart…plus, he’s also the character who constantly tries to boss me around even when it’s not his turn.
Are you a planner or a see where it goes?
~I’m totally a pantser (I just see where it goes). I have an idea of where I want every story to go, but outlines just don’t work for me. The first thing that usually comes to me is characterization. My guys are always the most vivid part.
What’s your ideal writing day look like?
~I’m very sporadic and my health issues make me even more so. My muse is most active in the morning or evening, sometimes late into the night. Afternoons are a write-off for some reason. I also tend to write with a comfort show on in the background—Law & Order Criminal Intent, RuPaul’s Drag Race, any of the Captain America movies.
Coffee or tea?
~ I am a tea-granny for sure—London Fog, Earl Grey Latte, or Moroccan Mint green tea—but when I do drink coffee it’s never straight. Caramel Macchiatos and mochas count though, right?
Describe yourself in three words.
~Obsessive. Soft-hearted. Emotional.
Can you tell us what you have upcoming?
~Besides the new release of Unbroken Hearts, I have the novel version of Lazy Sundays coming out in November. It was a free novella I wrote back in 2012 that I’m polishing, and along with the second short in the series, Lazy Valentines, I’m adding double the content to Devon and Scott’s story. I’ve had readers asking after these guys ever since I wrote the initial story.
As well, I have plans to rerelease the new version of my first published book, Finally Home, hopefully in time for Christmas, and I’m looking to NANOWRIMO to help me produce another full-length novel in the Welcome to Loveland series.
Thanks so much for being with us!!
~It’s totally my pleasure. Thank you for the support. And readers…I hope you enjoy Unbroken Hearts. Don’t forget to enter the giveaways!

Title: Unbroken Hearts
Series: Unbreak My Heart, book 2
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Release date: October 11, 2017
~~Country singer turned rancher Brett Taylor fought his way out of the bottle, so he could have JT Campbell in his life. JT’s patience, intelligence, and humor broke through Brett’s walls of depression, and now the once-isolated rancher and his young California guy in search of himself are together on Brett’s Texas ranch.
While Brett and JT are more in love than ever, they’re still dealing with past baggage and learning how to move forward. Brett’s former lover casts a long shadow over their lives—one JT tries to pretend doesn’t bother him. Can Brett soothe his fears with the sort of sappy, sentimental Valentine’s Day JT was taught to shun growing up—but secretly always wanted?
When Halloween rolls around, a costumed night out at the local bar might lead to another romantic first. And on Christmas morning, JT awakes to some sweet loving and the most meaningful gift he could ever imagine. The New Year truly brings a new beginning—ushered in by some silly, sparkly, and sexy fun.
One year. Four important holidays. Two men who have worked hard for the love and trust they share and the bright future that’s finally within their grasp.~~

K-lee Klein loves guys with long hair and tattoos, and you’ll often find her front and center at her favorite rock concerts. She has bounced around Western Canada all her life, but will always consider the solitude and beauty of the British Columbian mountains home. Her life is blessed as the proud mother of three now-grown but still spoiled kids, the servant of two bossy felines, and the wife of a truly patient husband.
Her writing muse is terribly temperamental, so to keep him close by and in check, she had him inked on her left calf. The gorgeous, long-haired, mostly naked, kneeling angel that resulted is truly a work of art, although he’s still a handful and hopelessly uncontrollable. She writes on his schedule and inspiration.
K-lee tends to fall easily into obsessions. When something grabs her attention, she jumps into it headfirst with complete abandon. Actors, musicians, superheroes, fictional characters, and brainwashed assassins all hold spots on her cannot-get-enough list. She once followed Thirty Seconds to Mars around the United States and Canada and saw them perform fourteen times that year. Obsession sometimes leads to ideas for her kneeling angel to turn into stories.
Although an introvert in person, she’s extroverted online and has met many wonderful friends there, sometimes with the added fun of meeting them in person at gay romance conferences. She’s grateful for all the people in her life who accept her as she is and support her through her ups and downs as mom, wife, and joyfully obsessed writer.
